Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Circa mobile application and related services. By creating an account or using Circa, you agree to these Terms.
What Circa Is
Circa is a shared-memory app for organized social Groups. Circa is not a general-purpose cloud backup service, public social network, or unlimited storage product.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Circa.
Groups and Membership
Groups are persistent containers for shared memories. Founders and admins may manage membership and settings. Group content belongs to the Group context unless you separately save or export it.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload. By posting in Circa, you grant Circa a non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and transmit your content to provide the service to you and your Group members.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Circa as bulk photo backup, scrape or disrupt the service, impersonate others, upload malware, or harass other users. You also may not post objectionable content, including content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights. Paid plans are intended for personal social memory use; we may limit abusive accounts.
Content Moderation and Reporting
Circa has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. You can report a post or a member from within the app, or by emailing support@usecirca.app. We review reports and aim to act on objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the content and suspending or removing the responsible account. You can also block another member to stop interacting with them, and Group admins can remove members from their Group. We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at our discretion.
Subscriptions and Plans
Circa offers free and paid plans. Personal subscriptions may use Apple In-App Purchase; Group subscriptions may use our website where available.
Retention
Free-tier memories may be deleted after a retention window (typically 90 days after a memory closes) unless preserved as a Highlight or while a qualifying subscription is active.
Termination
You may request account deletion by emailing support@usecirca.app from your account email. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers
Circa is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing.
Changes
We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
